At first, I was confused about all the random pieces of information the author put in random places, but then I started to figure out how the book worked. It is set in the Milky Way galaxy, where many planets have already discovered interstellar travel. As soon as I thought I understood what was going on, I was suddenly confused again. Then, I saw how the pieces fit together.
